SBRC April General Meeting

Education – reflecting conservative principles – was the focus of the SaddleBrooke Republican Club April General Meeting .  Keynote speaker, Dr. Jackie Elliott, President of Central Arizona College, shared pertinent information about how the conservative principle of fiscal responsibility has been applied to CAC to streamline the budget and use resources to maximize the effectiveness of available finances.  Dr. Elliott stressed that professors have worked side by side with local businesses to produce curriculum designed to prepare students to enter the workforce upon graduation.

The Young Republican Club of the University of Arizona was represented  by their President Cassie Bauserman who spoke about the suppression of  conservative views  on college campuses.

Recently, two Border Patrol Agents were invited to the University of Arizona to speak to a class about the responsibilities of Border Patrol Agents.  These agents were harassed and driven from campus by a group of protesters.  Mark Gerrish, a US Border Control Community Liaison and his partner – the very agents who were harassed on the U of A campus- stepped forward and shared their experience.  These amazingly dedicated men are tasked with traveling throughout the area to share the increasing concerns about the crisis at our southern border.

Education, reflecting conservative principles of fiscal responsibility and freedom of speech in universities and colleges is what make our nation strong .  These are principles that demand our attention!!
