SaddleBrooke Republican Club General Meeting

As the bells rang in the new year of 2019, members of the SaddleBrooke Republican Club crowded into the Mountain View Club House to hear Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD). Dr. Jasser is a first generation American Muslim whose parents fled the oppressive Baath regime of Syria in the mid 1960’s.  Dr. Jasser is a devoted Muslim who has dedicated his adult life to being a respected voice for the Muslim community.   He served as a commissioner and vice president of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom from 2012 – 2016.  He appears on national television on a regular basis and is the author of A Battle for the Soul of Islam: An American Muslim Patriot’s Fight to Save His Faith.

Dr. Jasser, using illustrative slides, shared much about the past and present history of the Muslim faith and then opened the floor for pertinent and probing questions from the appreciative audience.

The overwhelming success of the SaddleBrooke Republican Club General Meeting – including informative programing and warm fellowship was just a inviting glimpse of the promises that 2019 holds for our faithful members and friends.
