The elections are over. Despite all the hard work by the Club and its members, the results are bordering on being a disaster. I am not angry at the Club; I don’t know what more we could have done.
I am angry at the election officials for allowing the debacle in Maricopa County and thereby making it much harder to accept the results. Was there fraud? I don’t know. But if someone says there was, I’d be hard put to dispute it.
I am angry at the Arizona Republican Party for just rolling over on the race results. I have heard nothing about investigating the irregularities or the mishandling of ballots. The Democrats scream about anything and everything they perceive as detrimental to their cause. It seems the Republicans just shrug it off, apparently too timid to fight.
I am angry at the voters in Arizona who voted for incompetent and ignorant candidates. The economy is booming, they have a President who is intent on protecting them from a literal invasion of illegals and are looking at a Democratic party that has no agenda other than “Stop Trump.” Yet, they elected so many Democrats.
So, what now?
I can’t tell you what to do. But, I can tell you what I plan to do. First, I will not give up. I love my Country and I believe it can be great again! I don’t want it left to my grandson’s generation as just wreckage left over from misguided liberal policies. I plan to make noise! I will be writing to our new senators and congressmen giving them my views on a wide range of issues. I will email and telephone newspapers and government officials to let them know my position on the issues.
I will support those organizations that are working for positions and ideas I believe are important. I will be reading and learning so I can teach my family and friends why Conservative Republican principles are better. I will try to get to know my state and local officials and do whatever I can to help them. Finally, and maybe more importantly, I’ll be praying that God will bless America, give wisdom to her voters and elected officials and cause a wave of common sense to break out all over the land.
